INDY (It’s Not Dead Yet) is an Independant Music Community Project based in Altrincham, were we refurbish, rehome and relove unwanted instruments. Guitars mainly but we will consider taking any instrument if it is not being used. We usually rely on contributions from individuals but when funds allow, will purchase instruments to pass on.
INDY can also help with technical advice and support for Community and Charity Music Projects & Events, in addition, we have a small collection of instruments available for use.
As well as passing on instruments for free, we also consider the same refurbishment or fixing of instruments for Individuals or Groups who can’t afford such services or don’t have access to them, at the moment that is a referral option and available to those we know. Just some of the things we will be doing here at INDY:
- Refurbish and or Fix Guitars or other Instruments to be given away for free.
- Free advice for beginners who want to buy their first Guitar.
- Offer Technical Support & Advice for Community and Charity Projects.
- A small Private Library of Music Books is available for learning and research.
INDY was originally started in 2018 as a personal respite project from home and is still one of the reasons why it exists, the commitment to helping others as our main ethos is that:
